Swap Cells Macro <swap cells button>

Swapping the contents of cells in Excel, involves three cut and pastes, and three areas. First we take cell 1, and copy it to a temporary area (assuming you’ve got a temporary area in sight, otherwise you may also end up inserting a new worksheet).  Next we take cell 2, and copy it over cell 1. Finally we select the data in the temporary cell, cut it, and paste it into cell 2. A bit messy.

Using the swap cells macro, simply involves selecting two ranges of cells (which must be the same shape, but may be more than one row and column), and clicking on the swap icon. The data in each range will be swapped between each-other. All done in a single click !

Happy clicking !
